So sorry I didn't answer you sooner skies. No, the hot ponds survived. The majestic cold pond, the "Queen's Bath", that I posted a picture of, did not. I really miss that place.
There is more than one hot pond though. There is one at Pohoiki and one on the highway to Kalapana. I was confused which hot pond you meant.

Unfortunately, the beach town of Kalapana no longer exists . The pictures I posted were of it's destruction.

Sky dawg ,!I don't remember the name of hot pool ,as it was so far back in late 70's when I was there ! It was very close to a beach ,straight down from Pahoa and before Kalapana is all I can recall !

Near Pohoiki beach ,maybe ! Queens bath ; i remember name only ,but a clear site memory was a huge cold water pool with a cliff really people would jump from ,into pool . But i don't remember whereabouts of this place . There were also little pits of steam where I took hot saunas somewhere !Now i am half a planet away !!!
